The Way It Works Counselling is a quest for truth, enabling the client to have the will and the wish to achieve what they want out of life. My aim is to show clients that we can become creators of our own positive experience. Existential Philosophy The existential view of life explores what the individual’s life means to them. It is a relaxing and gentle process of seeing what can be changed in your life. It can often be useful to engage in one to one confidential counselling thereby alleviating anxiety and emotional problems and solving lack of confidence. Psychodynamic Approach Sometimes our lives are affected by circumstances that we cannot understand. We can feel vulnerable and confused. The psychodynamic approach can sometimes make the unconscious come into our consciousness. The counsellor can gently explore what certain events in the past meant to the client. Bringing feelings to the surface can help to clear the mind and leave space for positive planning in the future. Whatever the situation, clients receive unconditional acceptance and a developing relationship with the counsellor, tailored to their unique requirements. Life-Coaching Situations in which one person seeks something from another involve particular kinds of emotions. In a work or study situation when a person in authority posses information that we do not have, this can evoke powerful feelings in us, that can hamper our professional development. Life coaching can enable a client to clear the decks and recognise the habits that have previously hampered our progress. Social interaction underpins our lives and the process of life coaching can enable more two-way dialogue between people. This experience enables clients to practise new skills in tackling difficult work and life situations that have previously left them feeling powerless and very unhappy. |
